It was great to see so many of you at our WWA Annual Membership Meeting last weekend at Lambeau Field.  For those of you who could not make it, you missed some really great presentations.

Peter Zeigler, our WWA Project Director brought us up-to-date on 2019-2020 WWA projects.

Tracy Hames from the Wisconsin Wetlands Association spoke about “Waterfowl, Wetlands & Watershed Hydrology”.

Sarah Orlofske PhD from UWSP talked about “Waterfowl Parasites: The Good, The Bad, and the New” and how they affect our waterfowl populations.

Taylor Finger, WI DNR Gamebird Ecologist shared regulatory updates with us.

And, Drew Fowler PhD and WI DNR Waterfowl & Migratory Game Bird Research Scientist discussed how healthy wetlands impact waterfowl and waterfowl hunting.

For both those of you who I did see and didn’t see at the Annual Meeting –  I am looking forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming banquets, bashes, shoots, golf outings, and other events.

On the near horizon, our Northern Wetlands Chapter will be holding our first banquet of 2020 on February 22nd in Rhinelander, followed quickly by the Valley Chapter banquet in Appleton on February 27th, and the Baraboo Chapter banquet on March 7th.  We will also be exhibiting at the Milwaukee Sport Show March 4-8 at State Fair Park in West Allis.  Please take a look at the calendar on our website for more details about these upcoming events.

Please invite your hunting buddies and friends to join us at these upcoming events.
