Build It and He Will Come

“Build it and he will come” as the saying goes. Or, in this case, “they” will come. They being Mallards, Woodies, Gadwallers and Teal… 200 acres of incredible habitat for waterfowl. I was lucky enough to be invited to experience this great place. And then came the weekend, 100 plus goose decoys expertly placed, great calling, well hidden, but someone forgot to hit “send”, so the geese didn’t get the memo where we were and that we were ready.

And this leads me to why we do this  – banquets, Bashes, raffles.  Fundraising so we can send Peter in to the wilds to enhance, preserve and create anew the cure for our passion: duck and/or goose hunting.

I hope you are all getting out for your hunts, and continue to do so; please take along calendars to sell! And remember, we have a few events coming up next month. Check out our Christmas Bash on the 3rd, our Day on the XMas Tree Farm on the 6th, our Lakeshore Chapter’s 31st Annual banquet on the 10th and the Chilton Chapter’s drawing for TWO SYKL electric bikes raffle on the 19th.

Holler if you need anything.
