Fall Finds WWA

There are few WWA events each fall, in recognition that our members may be enjoying some time outdoors. But if you’re needing your “WWA fix” don’t miss our 30th Annual Lakeshore/Manitowoc banquet on the 13th – it’ll be a good ‘un – and it will only keep you out of the marsh for a few hours!
I’ve had a great October in the field. You may be glad to learn I finally installed my mud motor on the skiff, and Callie and I had some great hunts in central Wisconsin and on a short trip to North Dakota, where I harvested my first Specklebelly goose – absolutely delicious! Oh, and I was reminded that practical jokes can go wildly amiss, so never pull one on your guide.… but that’s a story for another issue.Even with a limited number of formal events, your WWA is a busy organization this month:

WWA is on the go year-round, and of course, it takes the support of our members to fill WWA’s “tank”.  It’s clear that we can grow into parts of the state where we are under-represented now, and, in general, we are working towards growing the percentage of duck stamp holders who are WWA members.  If you believe in our mission, you can help by:

  1. Joining our social media community – our Facebook followers are growing quickly and we hope this will translate to the growth of fully-fledged members (see what I did there?);
  2. If you haven’t renewed your membership yet, check out the neat gear you receive just for re-upping, or share this link with a friend who may not now be a WWA member, and finally,
  3. Consider establishing a monthly gift (starting as low as $10) to WWA to sustain its operations throughout its busy year.
