This is a special edition of the WWA newsletter. We’re trying to keep you full of topic relevant waterfowling information, on a more frequent basis. The last one was just over a week ago. It takes time to research, write, edit and compile everything into such a newsletter, so we may not be as in-depth as we try to be normally, or have such diverse authors, and please forgive any typos! But we feel it’s important to take a deep breath (at a socially appropriate distance) to find joy in the things that have brought us together – waterfowling.
Check out some artwork of historic significance – a preview of just some of the ORIGINAL Wisconsin duck stamp artwork by Les Didier that has been donated to help support WWA missions by his son, Jim.
This week we also offer the opportunity to win SportDOG Brand’s latest collar technology featuring a much improved display system. SportDOG offered us this give-a-way to members who help us grow our Facebook presence—three woofs for SportDOG!
And another WOOF! For Wisconsin Outdoor news, if you already subscribe you already know – and if you don’t subscribe yet you’ll learn – that WON is the preeminent authority on current outdoor events. They are offering a chance to send $5 of your subscription costs directly to your good buddies, right here at WWA – important in keeping the lights on in this challenging economic period. Current and new subscribers can take advantage of this limited-time offer.
What’s happening in some of our committees that affect you:
- Happenings at the NRB – that may affect our season for next year.
- Habitat work in a COVID environment.
- Spring Conservation Congress hearings – don’t forget to go online and play a role in shaping DNR policy this coming week. Any waterfowling items to be aware of?
- The reboot planning of the Wisconsin Waterfowl Hunters conference is now a happening reality! Wanna play a role?
