Fair Winds to Randy Helbach

With the Annual Meeting, two serving directors – Bruce Urben and Joe Gonyo – were re-elected by eligible voters to three-year terms.  Three new directors were welcomed to the Board: Dave Elwing, Todd Schaller, and Dennis Fleischer.  Dave and Todd wasted no time jumping into leadership roles, being elected by the Board to Secretary and Vice President, respectively.

And at the same time, we want to wish Randy Helbach fair winds as he leaves the Board when his term expired last week.  Randy, as Secretary and Policy Committee Chair has been a staunch WWA Director and supporter, helping get the committees off the ground, navigate our way through the recent pandemic, and enable some of our most productive class A raffles.   Randy says he won’t go too far, he’ll remain involved in our Policy Committee and I’m quite sure we’ll see him at a lot of WWA events around the state.

With this newly constituted board, state-level committees will be re-structured as well.  You don’t have to be a Director to serve on a committee – if you have an interest, let me know what it is and I bet we can find a rewarding home for your passion.
