New Volunteer Opportunities

It could be easy to be concerned about a very uncertain future for WWA. But to the contrary, I’m pretty darn excited.  Why? Because we have more people raising their hands and getting involved than I’ve ever experienced in my time with WWA.  Facebook editors, duck banding coordinator, nesting structure coordinators, habitat volunteer, and more.  And the Board of Directors are really beginning to make strides in their own committee structure to help these new brand of volunteers be successful.  This growing ability to create new and unique opportunities for volunteer talent is the key to WWA’s growing impact.  A true silver lining.

Here are some of the still open volunteer opportunities:

Interested in making sure the waterfowlers’ voices are heard in Madison? We only need 4-5 people in each state legislative district to have a HUUUGE impact on the legislation that comes out of the Capital.  A few minutes engaging key legislators will pack an outsized punch.   First up: the Waterfowl Stamp fee.

A state-wide waterfowl celebration? Be a part of this inaugural event, planned tentatively for late summer next year.  But we need your help today – again, not a lot of time, but a big impact.
