Smaller, Faster, Cheaper

Given the uncertainty of the appropriateness of gathering in large numbers, one way to ease into whatever the new [ab]normal becomes, it makes sense for Chapters to consider smaller, easier-to-put-on fundraisers – that are intended for smaller audiences, require less chapter effort, are shorter in duration, and usually are very efficient in producing net revenue.

Consider the bash-like event planned on by Scotty Bratz (recently “returned to duty” after a medical intervention) and partner-in-crime John Regan (recently inducted into the WWA Hall of Fame).  Unable to put on their traditional banquet, they have instead focused on class A’s raffles and are planning a bash-like event instead.  (Poster courtesy of Mike Alaimo.)

I think this will be a good model for WWA and its chapters until a new normal establishes itself – WWA Staff will be organizing one early after release from self-quarantine that we have found ourselves in.  PLEASE contact Rob Monette robmarshlandwwa@gmail.com to help put one together.
