The days are the longest of the year, the grass is growing like crazy and temperatures are reaching record levels again… it’s great to be in Wisconsin!
I want to extend a sincere “thank you” to our membership who responded to our request for help to get through the initial stages of the shutdown due to the health pandemic. As you know, this is just our first stage in getting through the health emergency and the shutdown of business as we knew it. We know now that we can count on your help as we go forward with this new normal.
You responded with your direct financial assistance by donations, sustaining memberships, support of our online raffles and our sold out virtual events over the last month. Thank you!
We are not out of the woods yet, but we are days away from holding some of our first in-person fund raising events since March 17th. We have instituted precautions to ensure our events are held with your safety in mind. I don’t know if we will ever be back to our pre-pandemic normal, but we now understand how we can proceed with precautions and restrictions to keep us all healthy and safe. We hope we can meet your needs at our events and welcome your recommendations to improve as we move forward.
Our first in person event is Sunday, July 12th at the Ozaukee County Sporting Clays Shoot at the Ozaukee County Fish and Game Club near Fredonia, WI.
Our second fundraising sporting clays shoot is just six days later on Saturday, July 18th at the Green Bay Chapter’s Abrams Shoot being held at J&H Game Farm near Shiocton, WI.
These shoots will give you several chances to get out and burn some powder and win some great prizes!
Next up on the docket is our 10th annual Fox Valley Golf Outing, being held the following week , July 22nd, at Royal St. Patrick’s Golf Course near Wrightstown. The weather will surely cooperate with us this year.
It will be great to see many of you at one of our upcoming events in the next two weeks. It has been a long four months!
Stay safe and healthy and look forward to seeing you soon.
