This was a weird WWA year in most respects: health fears, uncertain economic conditions, tightened budgets, cancelled events, postponed activities… most of it was more than a little disconcerting. But many of the chapters that were able to hold their fundraising events found they did very well in attendance and $/attendee, setting records for attendance and dollars raised. Several chapters scheduled several class A’s and all chapters found a way to adapt to the unique challenges of the year. I’ve been in a lot of volunteer organizations, so it is from that perspective that I say I am SO impressed with the level of commitment of all of our chapter volunteer – and I can safely say we would not have survived the year without your efforts.
Some chapters enjoyed very significant success; we have a list of nine chapters that met or exceeded their supergoal levels for the year, for ALL fundraising activities. In no particular order, they are:
Midland Wings/ West Bend
Appleton/Fox Walley
Chilton
West Allis
Waukesha
Cedar Creek/Ozaukee
Green Bay
Northern Wetlands
Beaver Dam
Congratulations to all of your teams for hanging in there and helping your WWA survive these challenging times. If you want to know Top Gun for the year, or highest netting event, stay tuned (or come to the Annual meeting on Saturday).
