I’d like to thank ALL of the volunteers I got a chance to work with during my almost twenty years with WWA. I can honestly say it was my pleasure to be a part of a fantastic group of dedicated individuals. The good times truly outnumbered the bumps in the road, and that is because of your hard work and cheerful personalities.
It was a joy to travel the state (with my 4-legged co-pilots) and meet with you, learn from you and then take what I learned and shared it with all of you. I so enjoyed this job that I can mostly say I never worked a day in twenty years. Or so it felt like.
I have been asked if I will miss it. You’re damn right I will miss it. Even the late night travels and some early morning trips will be missed. Saying that, I won’t be gone entirely, as I will be helping the West Allis, Waukesha and South Suburban Chapters, but now as one of you, a dedicated volunteer who wants to make a difference.
See you around and thanks for the memories.
