In the fall of 2015 volunteers from our Waukesha County chapter, lead by chapter chair Mike Alaimo, adopted WWA’s first Wildlife Area at Rome Pond, through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ new Adopt A Wildlife Area Program. Over the past year, Mike and his chapter have been joined by the Twin Rivers chapter, led by TJ Schnulle, in continuing their great works at Rome Pond and finalizing the adoption of the Lake Mills Wildlife Area in the fall of 2016! We are excited to share this article published by Badger Sportsman magazine about the outstanding efforts of our volunteer teams in their participation in this Wildlife Area Adoption program.
