WWA Announces Hiring of Brock Rosenkranz as New Statewide Regional Director

The Wisconsin Waterfowl Association is proud to announce the hiring of Brock Rosenkranz as the new Regional Director for the state. A lifelong resident of the Driftless Area and passionate conservationist, Brock brings a deep personal connection to his work.

Brock’s connection to the outdoors was shaped by his late father’s and Aldo Leopold’s teachings, which emphasized the importance of preserving natural landscapes for future generations. Growing up, Brock was encouraged not only to appreciate the beauty of Wisconsin’s wetlands and waterways but also to work toward their protection actively. It was through this foundation that Brock discovered his passion for waterfowl hunting, which began after participating in a “Learn to Duck Hunt” program as a young boy. His early experiences in the field shaped his strong commitment to preserving the habitats that make Wisconsin’s outdoor spaces unique.

“As a young boy, my father taught me the importance of understanding and protecting the environment. It’s because of his influence that I’ve dedicated myself to ensuring that future generations can enjoy the same outdoor experiences I had growing up,” said Brock Rosenkranz.

As the new Regional Director, Brock will be instrumental in supporting WWA’s chapters across the state, strengthening existing efforts and establishing new chapters in unrepresented regions. His role will be critical to expanding WWA’s reach and ensuring that conservation efforts are felt in every corner of Wisconsin. Brock’s dedication to creating more opportunities for community engagement and involvement in waterfowl conservation aligns with WWA’s mission to protect and restore critical waterfowl habitats.

Brock’s addition to WWA comes at a time when Wisconsin’s waterfowl populations face numerous challenges, from habitat loss to climate change. With his extensive knowledge of the Driftless Area and hands-on experience in environmental science, Brock is uniquely positioned to lead efforts to address these issues and further WWA’s commitment to sustainable waterfowl populations and thriving wetland ecosystems.

“I’m excited to collaborate with our chapters statewide, helping them strengthen their local conservation efforts while working to create new opportunities in areas where we can expand,” Brock adds. “Together, we can make a significant impact on the future of waterfowl conservation across Wisconsin.”

“The Wisconsin Waterfowl Association looks forward to the leadership and energy Brock will bring to the organization, helping to build a more engaged and united community of waterfowl enthusiasts across the state,” said Brad Heidel, Executive Director.
