School Curriculum

Designed by Brillion School District middle school teachers Ryan and Jessica Peterson, this program engages students  in science topics through the lifecycle of waterfowl.  Migrations, nesting, brood-rearing, geography and general wildlife concepts feature in this entertaining, hands-on curriculum.

The program is aligned to state and national curriculum standards, teaching wetland ecology and other topics through the lens of the beautiful wood duck.

The curriculum is easily adjusted to meet your unique needs – Middle School Science, High School Science, Ag Program, Nature Center.  Program length is also flexible; 5 stand-alone 1 day lessons, 10 day unit or a months long outdoor project.

Take hands-on learning to the marsh with a next box (provided by WWA).  You can install a camera (obtained through WWA and partner Tactacam) to have your class remotely track nesting process.
