Hunter and Conservation Advocacy

“The People have the right to fish, hunt trap and take game subject only to reasonable restrictions as prescribed by law.”

Wisconsin Constitution Article 1, Section 26

Hunter advocacy

For generations, American hunters, and especially waterfowlers, have shouldered a disproportionate burden for wildlife and habitat conservation. These hunter contributions were recognized by the citizens of  Wisconsin in 1982 when over 82% of voters passed a constitutional amendment to protect hunting.

WWA was founded by hunters who believed the state government was not listening to hunters.  WWA’s first mission is to advocate for hunter rights.

Conservation advocacy

Preserving, protecting, and restoring Wisconsin’s remaining natural resources is fundamental to waterfowl production and hunter access to productive locations.  WWA puts its shoulder to policy issues that support natural resource conservation at the state,
