The Wisconsin Supreme Court yesterday determined that the Governor’s safer-at-home order was not permitted, and so today in many counties we have no apparent constraints beyond individual decisions on how to act within this pandemic. We don’t know what rules/restrictions/regulations will apply to our traditional WWA fundraisers – will it vary by county? By municipality? By venue? And then overly any personal concerns event attendees may have, and financial constraints they may harbor. Makes planning difficult.
This is a problem for WWA, which is very – maybe too – dependent on event-type fundraising. These past few months have been a struggle as we postponed or outright cancelled events.

That’s why I’m so very pleased to see so many chapters stepping up to host Class A raffles to generate important revenue for WWA. These have been selling out quickly and have a high RoE (return on effort). Thank you to the chapters that have been paying such an important role in keeping the WWA lights on during this challenging time. PLEASE talk to Tom if you think your chapter can put together a raffle in the next few months – this “small ball” will be critical to WWA’s continued effectiveness – and maybe its continued existence!
And check out the state hunt Class “A” raffle – supplier Rolling Plain Adventures just put out a new video about what you can expect if you are the winner of this amazing prize package.
