Megan Salazar

Megan was first introduced to waterfowl hunting in 2013 as a participant in the WWA – Green Bay chapter’s Learn to Hunt program. The program sparked a passion in her, and over the last 13 years she has moved forward in becoming an avid waterfowler, outdoorswoman, and conservationist. She is a Wisconsin DNR Hunter Safety instructor and is currently the co-coordinator for the Waterfowlers’ Academy For Women By Women Learn to Hunt Program. She has also developed a number of learn-to-hunt programs in multiple states across the country, including Arkansas, California, and Hawaii. She actively volunteers on the chapter level for events promoting membership, education, and fundraising towards WWA efforts.

In her free time, Megan is also an accomplished equestrian, seasoned home cook, and avid upland hunter, competing in tournaments and trials with her 4 labradors. She is a regular contributor on the radio show “Raised in the Woods” as well as the national podcast “The Fowl Life – Eat Wild Series” and has started the WWA Learn to Cook Waterfowl class partnered with the Wisconsin DNR.
