According to Hunter Nicolai, WDNR’s Learn to Hunt Coordinator (what a great name for his position), Wisconsin’s Learn to Hunt programs are going to be back in full swing this fall.

In conjunction, I’m happy to announce that WWA will be holding two Learn to Hunt Waterfowl programs this fall. This will be the eleventh year for the Green Bay Chapter’s Learn to Hunt Program that will take place in October. There are still several open spots to fill. Please contact me if you are interested and we can get you or your son or daughter signed up. burben@netnet.net

The first annual Waterfowl Learn to Hunt in Waukesha will be held this year on October 9th at Wern Valley Sportsman’s Club with a mentored Hunt the following morning near Ripon, WI. That class may already be full, but you can sign up for next year if interested. Let us know at wwainfo@centurytel.net

Kids partaking of the educational opportunities offered at Abrams

WWA’s Abrams project property is open for hiking, bird watching, kayaking and fall hunting with over a mile of disabled accessible trails on the property. There are designated parking areas just off of the Highway 141 entrance on the north property and off Oak Orchard Road on the south property. Five disabled accessible deer blinds and three disabled accessible duck blinds are located on the property for your use. Take a ride to Abrams and enjoy the property, I understand the blackberry crop out there this year looks phenomenal.

Please contact me if your group would like a guided tour of the property. We would be happy to arrange it.

Watch for emails about future educational programs, projects and opportunities from WWA.

We hope you can get out and enjoy the great Wisconsin outdoors!
