By the time you receive this newsletter we will have held our first fund raising banquet. The 37th annual Appleton/Valley dinner banquet was held on Friday February 25th to a record crowd.

We are off to a great fund raising year!

Celebrate St. Paddy’s day with the ducks at WWA’s Green Bay banquet!

If you were not able to make the Valley banquet don’t fret, The 21st annual Green Bay Fundraising Dinner banquet is scheduled for March 17th (yes that is St. Patty’s day) at Rock Gardens Supper Club in Green Bay. There are still seats available for that event. Order your tickets online or contact me for more information (920-660-2773). The next opportunity is our 38th annual Waukesha Chapter Banquet on April 21st, online registration is available for that event as well, we hope to see you there.

If you are an antique decoy connoisseur be sure to checkout the Wisconsin Decoy Collector show at the Hilton Garden Inn in Oshkosh (1355 West 20th Ave., Oshkosh, WI). WWA will have a booth at that event and we’ll have a number of antique decoys for sale through donations we have received from our membership. We will be offering a number of Mason Decoys (circa 1920) and decoys carved by several other Michigan carvers, including the late Jim Wicks! The Show begins at 10 am on Friday March 11 and runs to 5pm and again on Saturday morning, March 12th from 9 am to 5 pm. This is the biggest antique decoy show in Wisconsin, come and check it out!

According to the Groundhog, we will be having an early Spring! Unfortunately, a lot of our snow has already disappeared in the southern half of the state, which could lead to a dry spring. Hope for snow or rain to provide more water in our wetlands… the wood ducks will be here before you know it!

Thank you for all your support for your Wisconsin Waterfowl Association. Hope to see you at one of our upcoming events!
