Speaking of Spring… Hearings!

DNRlogoprocessIf you are an outdoors person (everybody should now be raising their hands) then you should be participating in the online spring hearings in a few days on April 13th .  While there are not any direct waterfowling questions in the advisory questions, we will still recommend you consider our fall survey responses in regards questions #1-7  – and particularly #3 – of the Natural Resources Board Advisory questions:  All relating to the use of non-toxic shot on DNR property.

We asked a related question on our own Fall Zone Survey, specific to mourning dove hunting, to expand current non-toxic shot restrictions state-wide.  A plurality said yes:

And finally, question #55 solicits your thoughts on whether the DNR should start looking around for (specifically, “creating”) other funding sources to support wildlife and fisheries services.  Of course, yes.  But it may not make much difference right now whatever the results are.
