I just came back from an unusually enjoyable WWA event hosted by Waukesha Chairman Mike Alaimo.  It was a night out with the Lake Country DockHounds, the latest minor league baseball team in Wisconsin.  The DockHounds partnered with WWA’s Alaimo to host a fun evening that also raised funds for WWA.

I’m mentioning this because it shows that banquets are not the only way to raise funds for WWA.  Other forms of WWA support are growing in importance as the demographics of our supporters evolve.  Many of our volunteers would rather host a sporting clays event, hold a one-time class A raffle, focus on local habitat efforts,  hang wood duck boxes, or generate support for WWA in non-traditional ways.

If you think your area could benefit from a local WWA chapter, let’s talk. It’s more fun, and less work, than you might think.
