I want to take a moment to thank all of you for your support of the many events we held in August. I want to also thank the wonderful dedicated committees of the Wausau Chapter, Midland Wings Chapter, State Shoot at Wern Valley and Hunter’s Eve Bash for hosting these events. Thank You! While August was quite the whirlwind of banquets and shoots we’re not quite done yet for the year. Be sure to check out our calendar of events to find the next WWA banquet near you!
It is that time of year when we start to replenish our shell boxes and replace the worn out hunting gear. When you do your shopping, please remember our sponsors who have supported WWA’s events all year long. You have seen the Tactacam cameras at many of our events already this year and rest assured, they will be at our fall events also. I, and several of my hunting partners, were lucky enough to win one. Not familiar with Tactacam? Stop by one of our events to check out the video of how they work. But know, until you attach it to your gun and go out and film a round of trap or sporting clays and really see what kind of shooter you are, well all I can say is “what a hoot this is!”. If you didn’t win one and you can’t wait until our next banquet to try for one again, go buy one. You won’t be disappointed in the extra enjoyment it will bring to your hunt.

Our banquets will also have Tanglefree decoys for you to win! Many attendees left the events this spring and Summer after winning a bag of these with huge smiles on their faces. Stock up on these. They look and work great.
My standard last minute search for this or that is always at Sherpers, who also is a wonderful sponsor of ours in the Southeast corner of the State. They are the location to get the latest in the line of waders, boots and other footwear products. Check out the decoys and accessories they have while there as well.
Hunting Season is upon us and you certainly deserve to harvest a few birds. You have done your share to protect and propagate the resources through your support of WWA, so enjoy this season and then pass along the news of WWA to your hunting friends so that perhaps they will join you at one of our events along the way. WWA can use all the support we can get. Thank You for being part of this great Association that continues to make Wisconsin a great place to recreate. Thank You for all you have done to make Wisconsin a better place to live. With your help, WWA will continue to support the needs of conservation statewide.
