Mike Alaimo and his Waukesha chapter claimed the TOP GUN recognition for excellence in fundraising last year with combined Waukesha banquet, Christmas Bash, and other development activities netting a total of $38,600 – wow! Not too far behind was the Green Bay Chapter, led by Eric Urben (with a combined total of $34,300), and third place was the West Allis crew, led by Ian Bartelmez with nearly $21,000 in net contributions. These successes would not have been possible without a committed team and solid, organized leaders.
The events at left were recognized at the recent annual meeting as having met their “Super Goals”. These are stretch financial goals that consider not only each event’s financial performance, but also the other development activity that each chapter undertakes. These funds, and those raised by other chapters around the state, directly support WWA missions, and frequently can be leveraged against grant and other funding sources to go even further. Congratulations and “bravo zulu” (sailor talk for “well done”) to these teams, and all the others around the state whose commitment to the cause of WWA not only fuels its engine, but also helps create a community of Wisconsin Waterfowlers!
