Happy New Year WWA!
We are beginning to write the WWA annual report for 2022, and it’ll be a good one.
WWA boasts committed volunteers at the state and local levels, donors, members, and staff who are raising the bar each day on behalf of the state’s waterfowlers. If one or more of those labels describes you – THANK YOU – and I hope you’ll join us at the annual meeting happening at the end of this month (Jan 28th) in Beaver Dam
Daily, I am humbled by the energy and talent of the people who make WWA a regular part of their lives – this is what makes WWA tick. I hope that we are providing the reward for those “investments” and I can assure you that your staff and volunteer leadership are committed to that. Let me know how we can do better at bross@wisducks.org.
2022 was our rebound year from the pandemic and I can report that WWA is as strong as ever:
- Growing membership
- A strong balance sheet and cash flows
- Expanding habitat efforts
- A more impactful voice in Madison
- More educational offerings
- Greater visibility in the state outdoors community
2023 is shaping up to be a lot of fun.
- More learn to hunt experiences
- Expanding local chapter numbers
- Diversifying our revenue streams
- Standing up for policies important to waterfowlers
- Expanding EXPO programs
- New habitat programs on public and private properties
- Telling our story more effectively
If you join us at the annual meeting in Beaver Dam on Jan 28th, we’ll explore these and other topics.
This year represents the 39th year of WWA’s existence. Our resolution is to make it one of our most relevant. We could use your help.
