Participants in the Waterfowlers Academy For Women By Women Learn to Hunt October 2024

Wisconsin Waterfowl Association is excited to announce a new partnership with Pheasants Forever that will bring a Waterfowlers Academy event to Crex Meadows Wildlife Area on October 24 – 26, 2025. The event will involve in-person and virtual training, combined with two waterfowl hunting experiences.

To support the expansion of WWA’s Waterfowlers Academy program, we’re seeking 4-6 volunteer mentors to assist with the Crex Meadows event.  Mentors must be certified through the WDNR background check process and be experienced waterfowl hunters with a passion to pass on the waterfowling heritage.  Mentors will assist with the training and mentor a novice adult participant during the two hunts.

WWA and Pheasant Forever will provide room and board for mentors helping with the event.

Interested in mentoring this event? Please get in touch with Todd Schaller at c217tazman@gmail.com.
